Prime Minister Ma'een Abdulmallik has praise the role of the Central Organization for Control and Audit (COCA) and keenness of the organization's staff on performing their duties despite difficult conditions and turmoil took place in the past.
In his meeting with leadership of COCA on Monday, prime minister confirmed that the chance is available now, after forming the new government, to translate the organization's reports and observations on the performance of the state's institutions and apparatus into practical situation and punishing corrupt people and those who did not perform their duties as demanded.
He stressed that this measure should be applied on all without any exceptions or considerations, pointing out that directives will be issued to all ministries, institutions and all government bodies to cooperate with the organization to boost transparency and integrity.
" There will be no excuse from now on for not seeing the Central Organization for Control and Audit in any government's unit and we are ready to facilitate your work and performance and ministries, government bodies, local authorities or any other body try to hinder your work, you can inform us and we will facilitate difficulties and will not tolerate such acts," he said.
The meeting discussed reforms needed to be accomplished for boosting the role of the organization to implement its tasks and providing capabilities it needs exceptionally, as well as activating the integrated role between judiciary system, the organization and the government.
For his part, the Head of COCA Judge Abu Bakr Assaqaf reviewed reports issued by the organization recently and recommendations for fixing mischiefs and faults, pointing out to the organization's plan for next period and enforcing capacities and cadre of it.
