BEIRUT-SABA
Foreign Minister Khaled Alyemany voiced the Republic of Yemen's protest and condemnation of Hezbollah's statements and practices against Yemen; demanding the Lebanese government to take necessary measures to stop this hostile behavior in accordance with the principle of non-intervention in other countries' internal affairs that all Lebanese constituencies advocate so that mutual interests of the two countries are better served.
Alyemany has made this clear in a letter he transmitted to his Lebanese counterpart Jobran Baseal. Yemen's Amabasdor to Beirut Abdullah Addoais handed over the letter on Wednesday to Director of Ceremonies in the Lebanese Foreign Ministry Rehab Abu Zain.
Alyemany's letter reads" We are in the Republic of Yemen preserve our right to put forward the case to Arab League Council, Organization of Islamic Conference and International Security Council that all call for respecting sovereignty of the countries and non-intervention in their internal affairs or cause harm to their own interests and legitimate rights under the rules of International Law".
The Foreign Minister expressed his upset for Hezbollah's breach of this rule—non intervention in other countries' internal affairs—causing harm to the deep-rooted relationship between the two countries by contributing to Houthi militia's training and planning, supporting the rebellious armed militia which carried out a coup against a legitimate authority on September 21,2014, has taken over the State's institutions, imposing its control by weapons force to serve an Iranian expansion scheme.
The protest letter also reads" Hezbollah's support to the Houthi militia was clearly evidenced in a televised address delivered by Hezoballah's Secretary General Hassan Nasserallah, dated June 29/2018. In his address Nasserallah encouraged the militia to fight the Yemeni Government's troops, voiced his own and his party's militants' aspiration to fight alongside Houthi militia in Yemen against the internationally recognized legitimate official authority, in flagrant intervention in Yemen's internal affairs, a matter will have serious negative impacts upon Yemen national interests, further fueling the war flames that will destabilize the entire region's security and stability because of unjustified hostile behavior"
