Deputy Minister of Agriculture for Agricultural Services Sector Eng. Amin ba-Qader discussed on Thursday with the delegation of the International Organization for Migration a number of issues and programs associated with agricultural and interventions of the organization in the liberated provinces.
Ba-Qader praised support provided by the organization in agricultural sector under this current crisis, especially the worthy intervention programs to a number of agricultural projects, which helped in improving the livelihoods of targeted farmers.
Director of Animal Health Department Abdulrahman al-Khatib and Director of Protection Department Jamil Anwar talked about facilitating the organization's activities, in addition to the most important projects the government to carry out with support from the organization and include modern irrigation system, rehabilitating vet centers, agricultural guidance and the Solar System Pumping Project to be distributed to farmers in provinces of Lahj, Abyan and Shabwa.
For his part, the Head of the IOM's Delegation Rabi' Siraddin reviewed the key activities, which are being implemented by the organization currently and focuses on food, shelter and health interventions.
He confirmed support to Yemen's agricultural sector as included in the organization's plans and objectives.
