Al-Eryani seeks ICESCO's support for Yemen's cultural heritage

Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism Muammer al-Eryani held discussions today, Thursday, here in Rabat with the Director of the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization(ICESCO) Dr. Salim al-Malik over aspects of cooperation between the Yemeni government and the ICESCO.

Al-Eryani's conversations with al-Malik aimed to further increase partnership and collaboration between Yemen and the ICESCO in the areas of capacity building and the preservation of the cultural heritage.

Al-Eryani explored the ICESCO's contribution toward preserving the cultural heritage of Yemen which has been subjected to a systematic destruction by Houthi militias.

The Minister detailed the ICESCO's Director on the challenges facing the Yemeni cultural heritage and the government's efforts to preserve it.
