A 50-year-old woman was martyred in the Qadash area of Lahj province, Yemen, after stepping on a landmine planted by the Houthi militia. Local police said, the explosive device was planted at the entrance of the woman's home and detonated when she opened the door, resulting in her immediate death.
The victim, identified as Mariam Abdoh Moqbel, fell prey to the militia's ongoing campaign of violence and terror in the region. The incident highlights the dangers posed by the Houthi militia's use of landmines and other explosive devices in civilian areas.
