The U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) announced today the designation of 21 individuals and entities, as well as the identification of one vessel, on the sanctions list for their involvement in transporting petroleum products, purchasing weapons and equipment and providing financial services to the Iran-backed Houthi terrorist militias.

Hadi checks on health of Aden Governor, Minister of Agriculture

President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi, made a phone call to the Governor of Aden, Ahmed Hamed Lamlas, to check on his health and the health of the Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries Salem Al-Socotri and their companions after they were exposed to a cowardly terrorist act while performing their usual duties in the temporary capital, Aden.

His Excellency the President discussed the repercussions of the incident congratulating everyone on their safety and at the same time instructing all executive, security and military government agencies to take the necessary measures to ensure security and stability. He also directed the conduct of comprehensive field investigations to find out the circumstances of the treacherous terrorist operation, hunt its perpetrators, and bring them to justice so that they may receive their deterrent punishment for what they have committed against the people and the homeland, the spilling of blood, the killing of innocents, and the destabilization of the security and stability of Aden and its safe areas.
