Presidential Leadership Council Member Abdulrahman al-Muharrami met on Sunday with Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Mohammed Abdullah Ahmed al-Faqmi to review the ministry's plans and priorities for the coming period.
Al-Muharrami congratulated al-Faqmi on his appointment and stressed the ministry's key role in setting national priorities, strengthening partnerships with regional and international partners, and promoting the government's economic reform programme.
He called for improving the use of grants and available funding, mobilising additional resources for economic recovery and development, and strengthening coordination with international financial institutions.
Al-Muharrami praised Saudi Arabia's continued support for government reforms and stressed the need to shift gradually from emergency response towards sustainable recovery and reconstruction, with a focus on essential services, infrastructure, livelihoods and support for displaced and war-affected communities.
