The Council of Ministers held its session today, Thursday, in the temporary capital Aden, chaired by Prime Minister Dr. Shaya Zindani and approved a number of national strategies and international agreements. It also discussed topical issues related to the military, security, economic and basic services situations.

The Council of Ministers held its session today, Thursday, in the temporary capital Aden, chaired by Prime Minister Dr. Shaya Zindani and approved a number of national strategies and international agreements. It also discussed topical issues related to the military, security, economic and basic services situations.

The Cabinet approved the National Child Protection Plan 2026-2029, presented by the Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, which includes a comprehensive vision for improving child protection conditions in the short and long term.

It also approved the Strategic Framework for Social Protection in Yemen 2025-2030 and tasked the Ministers of Finance and Planning and International Cooperation with providing the necessary funding to implement the strategic framework.

The Cabinet endorsed the National Strategy for Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Change Adaptation 2025-2030 and the attached executive action plan, presented by the Minister of Water and Environment, with the notes submitted by council members to be taken into account.

The Council of Ministers approved the draft United Nations Convention on Cybercrime and tasked the Minister of Legal Affairs to coordinate with the Minister of Communications and Information Technology to complete the necessary legal procedures.

It also approved Yemen's accession to a number of international agreements submitted by the Ministry of Water and Environment, most importantly the Paris Agreement under the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, and the 2016 Kigali Amendment to the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer.

The Cabinet discussed the developments in the military, security, economic and services fields and take necessary measures to address the problems and improve the basic services.
