[26/11/2018 12:28]
RIYADH-SABA
The Arab Coalition backing the Yemeni government against Houthis said on Sunday it had destroyed 36 naval mines "recently planted" by the terrorist militia in the international shipping routes.

Spokesman Col. Turki al-Maliki said in a statement published by the Saudi Press Agency said 86 naval mines have been discovered since the beginning of the Coalition's military operations in Yemen. "The discovery of these mines is an outcome of the Coalition forces' efforts to maintain the safety of maritime transport and international trade outh of the Red Sea," he said.

He said the acts of the Iran-backed terrorists including the recent planting of mines reveals their unwillingness to cease terrorist activities that undermine the regional and international security, and also reveals their intents to obstruct any efforts to resolve the Yemeni crisis.

He warned the militia of the legal responsibility they will bear in case of any economic or environmental damage that may result from their terrorist attacks in the Bab Al Mandeb straits and south of the Red Sea.
