Yemen's Ambassador to Moscow Dr Ahmed Nasser Al-Wohaishi met with the special envoy of the Russian President to the Middle East, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov.
During the meeting Al-Wohaish briefed Bogdanov on the recent developments in Yemen including the government's statement concerning to its stance about the report by UN High Commissionaire for Human Rights. He cited reasons that gave rise to rejection of any more extension for the Panel of Regional Experts.
" The Panel of Experts failed to act impartially, politicized its action, covered the Houthi militia's offense of carrying out a coup against a legitimate authority, by doing so a new context to be created inconsistent with the UNSCRs, mainly 2216", said Al-Wohaishi.
Yemeni students' problems in Russia were also touched upon. The Ambassador explored Russian government's help to the Yemeni students.
The Russian official reiterated his country's support for good offices aimed to make peace in Yemen.
