Riyadh, (Saba) - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulmalik al-Mikhlafi and Chinese Ambassador to Yemen discussed Wednesday cooperation between the two countries in education and other fields.

The meeting dealt with implementation of an agreement between the two governments on debt relief upon which China will cancel its debts Yemen owes to.

Al-Mikhlaf expressed Yemen's gratitude to the Republic of China for its positive attitudes supporting Yemen and its national issues during its crisis.

For his part, the Chinese diplomat extended best wishes to the Yemeni people on the 27th Anniversary of Declaring the Republic of Yemen on the 22nd of May 1990 to Yemen and its legal leadership, reaffirming support of Chinese government to Yemen's unity, security and stability.

He confirmed China's support to political solution to Yemen's crisis resulted by Houthi-Saleh's coup. The solution should be based on the three references: The Gulf Initiative, the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference and the UN Resolution 2216.
