Minister of Local Administration Eng. Badr Basalma emphasized the importance of strengthening coordination and integration of efforts between the ministry and the local authority in Taiz governorate to help create an institutional environment that supports administrative and executive stability and advances local development efforts.

During a meeting today in the interim capital Aden with Taiz Governor Nabil Shamsan, Basalma discussed the administrative and development challenges facing the local authority in the governorate and ways to address them.

The meeting, attended by Deputy Minister of Local Administration Moeen Mahmoud, reviewed the government’s orientations aimed at consolidating administrative and financial decentralization and enabling administrative units to exercise their authorities in accordance with the Local Authority Law.
