The Republic of Yemen is participating in the 11th Islamic Conference of Ministers of Culture in Muslim World. Delegations from 5o countries and 16 regional and international organizations are contributing to the gathering discussions.
Minister of Culture Marwan Dammaj headed Yemen's delegation to the gathering.
Director General of the UNESCO Dr. Salim al-Malik urged ministers and authorities in charge of culture in the Muslim World to get technical files accomplished about the historical sites need to be enlisted in the UNESO's lists of world heritage.
Al-Malik noted that around 70% of cultural heritage sites which are vulnerable are belonging to the Muslim World.
