The Argentine national team was crowned champion of the Qatar World Cup 2022 after defeating its French counterpart, by penalty shootouts, by four goals to two in the match that brought them together, this evening, Sunday, at Lusail Stadium, after the end of the original and extra time, in a positive tie with three goals for both teams.
The Argentine national team opened the scoring early at the 23rd minute from a penalty kick by Lionel Messi, to reinforce Angel Demaria's score with a second goal at the 36th minute of the first half of the match.
French striker Kylian Mbappe managed to score two goals in the 80th and 81st minutes from a penalty kick, so Lionel Messi returned and scored a third goal for Argentina in the fourth minute of the second extra period of the match, in response to which Kylian Mbappe could equalize the score and score his third personal goal (hat-trick)
