French club Paris Saint-Germain claimed the UEFA Champions League title after defeating Arsenal 4-3 in a penalty shootout following a 1-1 draw in the final held at Puskás Aréna in the Hungarian capital, Budapest.
Arsenal took an early lead in the fifth minute through Kai Havertz, while Paris Saint-Germain equalized in the 64th minute with a penalty converted by Ousmane Dembélé.
With the score remaining level at 1-1 through regulation time and extra time, the match was decided by penalties, where Paris Saint-Germain prevailed 4-3 to secure the European crown.
The victory marked the Parisian club’s second consecutive UEFA Champions League triumph.
