The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Afrah al-Zouba stated that the Yemeni state undertakes its constitutional and sovereign responsibility to protect its citizens, lands, coasts, ports and territorial waters, and that enabling its institutions to carry out this responsibility is a key element for the security of Bab al-Mandeb, the Red Sea and international navigation and trade.

FM meets his counterpart in the Republic of Mali

The Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak, met today with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of Mali, Abdullah Diop, on the sidelines of the Alliance of Civilizations Forum in the city of Fez in the Kingdom of Morocco.

During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and joint coordination on issues of concern to the two countries, in international regional forums. Bin Mubarak reviewed developments in the Yemeni political scene, and the Yemeni government's decisions related to labeling the Houthi militia as a terrorist group.

For his part, the Malian Foreign Minister touched on the developments in the situation in his country and the challenges it faces, stressing the importance of exchanging views and information between the two countries, especially in issues of combating terrorism.
