Shura Council Chairman Arrives in Cairo to Participate in Conference for Arab Parliament
Chairman of the Shura Council Dr. Ahmed Obaid bin Daghr, accompanied by his deputy Dr. Abdullah Abu al-Ghaith, arrived in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, Thursday to participate in the proceedings of the eighth conference of the Arab Parliament and Speakers of Arab Councils and Parliaments, scheduled to be held next Saturday at the headquarters of the League of Arab States.

Shura chairman urges US government to pressure Houthis into dialogue

The speaker of the Shura Council Ahmed Bin Daghr has urged the US to pressure Houthis to sit in the dialogue table and stop their aggression on Yemeni cities.

In a meeting with the Chargé d'Affairs of the US Embassy in Yemen, Catherine Westley here today, Bin Daghr said the government is seeking a peace where all parties abide by the Three References including the UN Security Resolution 2216.

He updated the US diplomat on the increasing violence Houthis are fueling in Yemen including the war on Marib.
Bin Daghr said the Iranians are playing a role obstructive to peace and damaging to Yemen.

The US diplomat renewed the American support for the unity and stability in Yemen and rejection of the Houthi aggressive practices that undermine international peace efforts and create more obstacles to peace.

Westley stressed the importance of implementing the rest of the Riyadh Agreement provions.
