Civil Service Ministry Announces Sunday Official Holiday on September 26 Revolution

The Ministry of Civil Service and Insurance has announced that next Sunday will be an official holiday for all state employees in both central and local government authorities, marking the 64th National Anniversary of the September 26 Revolution.

In a circular issued by the ministry and obtained by the Yemen News Agency (Saba), the ministry explained that the holiday is based on Article No. (3) of Law No. (2) of 2000 concerning official holidays and public breaks.

The ministry noted that September 26 falls on the weekly day of rest.

Therefore, Sunday, September 27, 2026, will be granted as a compensatory holiday, in accordance with Cabinet Resolution No. (247) of 2000 regarding compensation when an official holiday coincides with the weekly day of rest.

Official working hours will resume on Monday, September 28, 2026.
