His Excellency (HE) President Dr. Rashad a-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), affirmed that the state is determined to protect civilians, uphold its legal standing and maintain unity in its military and security decisions, warning of the danger posed by the escalation of the South Transitional Council (STC) in Hadramout and al-Mahra governorates and the involvement of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in supporting the rebellion and undermining state institutions.

Parliament's presidency convenes on latest developments

The Parliament's Presidency Panel, headed by Parliament Speaker Sultan al-Barakani, has convened on latest developments in the country.

In the consultative meeting held in the period between September,30 till October,3, economic and military situations, deteriorating the price of the Riyal before foreign currency and sharp increase of food goods were discussed.

Al-Barakani confirmed necessity of supporting and financing military fronts in coordination with Saudi-led Coalition to beat Houthi-Iranian agenda, which is posing serious threat to Yemen and the region and on the international peace.

The panel and MPs' blocs confirmed keenness on performance responsibilities of government's institutions and swift tackling of economic situation, making reforms to ensure handing over revenues to public treasury and providing necessary services to citizens.

The presidency confirmed activating the role of the Supreme National Authority for Combating Corruption, the role of the Central Organization for Control and Audit and significance of regaining roles of the Local Councils to perform their national duties.

The parliament confirmed making financial and cash reforms, boosting national economy and paying salaries of the security and army's affiliates who are active in the field.

The members of the Parliament's presidency confirmed speeding up implementation of Riyadh Agreement, including military and security section, so as all state's institutions will be able to return to Aden to practice their responsibilities from the transitional capital.

The convened MPs reported to President Hadi on their suggestions and views help in making suitable solutions to current problems.
