[12/03/2020 02:32]

RIYADH-SABA
Foreign Minister Mohammed al-Hadrami met Thursday with the Charged' affairs of the Canadian embassy in Yemen Marceal Baghei.

Yemeni-Canadian bilateral ties, situations in Yemen and peace process were key focus of the conversations.

Al-Hadrami voiced gratitude and appreciation for the Canadian support to the Yemeni people, mainly the Canadian contribution to the humanitarian actions.

Al-Hadrami stated that the government is still very keen to reach a sustainable peace based on the three terms of reference.
" The problem is that the Houthi militia has continued to embrace violence, military escalation and serve the Iranian expansion scheme in the region. This is the factual obstruction to peace", said al-Hadrami.

The Canadian diplomat affirmed his country's support for the UN-led peace process and the Yemeni government's efforts aiming to allay the Yemeni peoples suffering.
