Governor of Marib Maj. General Sultan Al-Arradah received Thursday in the city of Marib US Ambassador to Yemen Mathew Tuller.
Al-Arradah welcomed Tuller, appreciating his trip to the province.
The governor's discussions with the American diplomat touched upon several topics including outcomes of Sweden peace consultations, violations and atrocities by Houthi militia against civilians.
Al-Arradah described the Sweden peace consultations' outcomes are considered a real test to the Houthi militia to prove its desire to come to peace by implementing the agreements reached to in Sweden." Yemenis hardly expect the militia to honor the recent agreements, they repeatedly earlier failed to so", said Al-Arradah.
The governor cited crimes and violations the militia has continued to carry out against the civilians including firing ballistic missiles and attacks on residential areas.
Al-Arradah highly praised historic support by the Saudi-led Arab Coalition, backed by the UAE for the legitimate Yemeni government.
The governor also voiced appreciation for the American administration support for the legitimate political leadership, wishing the continuation of American support to serve the common interested of the two countries.
The US Ambassador expressed his admiration for the progress made in Marib, appreciating remarkable security and stability established in the province. He also reiterated American support for Yemeni government and making peace based on the three terms of reference.
