Kuwait supports efforts to resolve the Yemeni conflict peacefully

NEW YORK-SABA
The State of Kuwait has reiterated its support for the efforts to resolve the conflict in Yemen through peaceful mediation efforts, especially if the United Nations is the facilitator of this resolution.

During a UN Security Council meeting on Yemen on Friday, the Permanent Representative of Kuwait to the United Nations, Mansour Ayyad Al-Otaibi, said this stems from Kuwait's belief in the growing importance of this organization especially is peacekeeping arm- the UN Security Council.

He said that it is out of this belief in peaceful solution that Kuwait dedicated a plane to transport the Houthi negotiators mission from Sana'a to Sweden to attend the talks.

He wished that all Yemeni parties invest the results of the concluded talks to reach a solution that sets a limit to the catastrophic crisis arising from the war.
