More than 3 million children got vaccination against polio

Vaccination Campaigns have been able to vaccine more than 3 million children under 15 across the country in the first round of the campaign of vaccinating children against polio.

The vaccination teams, in addition to vaccinating more than 3 million children in 22 provinces, have visited 2.7 million children others, said Deputy Minister of Public Health and Population Ali al-Walidi, pointing out that the campaign has not been implemented in some districts due to the difficult situations.

Al-Walidi praised efforts of the teams participated in making the campaign successful. The campaign has been carried out by the ministry of health and financed by the UNICEF in the period between 6-8 August.

He also valued the positive role of the local authorities in the provinces and districts for facilitating the task of the teams.
