In the preparatory meeting for the forthcoming 29th Arab Summit, the foreign ministers of the Arab League member countries discussed in the Saudi capital, Riyadh,on Thursday a draft resolution on Yemen.
The draft resolution, which will be submitted to the Arab League at the forthcoming summitunderscores continued support for the Yemeni state headed by His Excellency President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi and the pan-Arab commitment to Yemen's unity, sovereignty and independence, and territorial integrity.
The resolution supported the position of the Yemeni government and its adherence to the three terms of reference for any peace process in the country. They condemnedthe severe human rights violations that Houthi rebels have been exercising.
They also condemned the Iranian support encouragingHouthisto undermine peace efforts and obstructing the international efforts to stop the cycle of violence, terrorism and war in Yemen.
