VP: Political leadership resolve to drive militia out of Taiz

Vice President Lieutenant General (Lt Gen) Ali Mohssen Saleh has confirmed that political leadership headed by President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi and backed by Saudi-led Arab Coalition is determined to push Iran-backed Houthi militiamen out of Taiz province.

The Vice President's statement came in his telephone call he conducted Friday with governor of Taiz province Dr Ameen Muhmood and Commander of Taiz Military Division, Maj. General Khalid Fadhl.

In his phone conversation (Lt Gen) Mohssen aimed to learn about the latest military advancements have been gained by the troops recently in the battles against Iran-backed Houthi militia. Significant progress has been gained over the past couple of days in the front-lines battles in Taiz front.

The governor and commander of Taiz division detailed the Vice President on the ongoing combat operations and the advancements achieved recently.
