Maritime Affairs Authority Discusses with European Nordic Support Foundation Enhancing Maritime Security
The Chief Executive of the General Maritime Affairs Authority Faheem Saif met Monday with the Regional Director of the International Support Foundation for the Nordic Countries Qasim Douali. The two parties discussed ways to strengthen cooperation in the fields of maritime security, pollution control and enhancing the Authority’s technical capacities.

President receives EC humanitarian assistances aid

President AbdoRabbu Mansour Hadi received on Wednesday Assistant Director of the European Commission Directorate-General for European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations and discussed with him Yemen's needs of relief and humanitarian aid.

PresidentHadi thanked the EC's official and the accompanying delegation and praised efforts of the EC office for Relief and Humanitarian Aid and of the international community for supporting Yemen under these difficult conditions over Houthi-Saleh militias' war on Yemeni people.

" Yemen is a poor country its suffering and burdens have complicated over war and cholera epidemic and Houthi control of the state's institutions added to people's suffering, furthermore, these militias seize relief items and sell them for their interests," said President Hadi.

He valued aid provided by the commission to Yemen under these conditions and confirmed on coordination and cooperation with Civil Society Organizations to enable them preform their relief and humanitarian role.

For his part, the EC official expressed pleasure for meeting with president in the framework of unifying efforts with the government and CSOs for providing relief and possible aid to different provinces.

He noted to Yemen's humanitarian crisis as one of the biggest humanitarian crisis which requires providing assistance and aid.
