The Secretary-General of the Local Council in Mahra Salem Nimer discussed Thursday with the team from the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center and the for Humanitarian Relief and the Charitable Alliance the project "300,000 Food Baskets for a Secure Future in Yemen."
Nimer emphasized the importance of the project in light of the continued influx of displaced persons to the governorate, noting that the local authority will provide all necessary facilitation to ensure the success of the project and the delivery of aid to those in need.
The project aims to enhance food security for vulnerable and displaced families suffering from acute food insecurity, targeting the governorates of Mahra, Hadhramout, Socotra, Shabwa, Marib, Jawf, Hajjah and Saada, according to the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification.
