Civilian Fatally Shot by Houthi Sniper in Western Taiz

A civilian was killed on Saturday after coming under sniper fire from the Iran-backed Houthi terrorist militia in western Taiz, as attacks on civilians continued in Maqbanah district.

According to a local source, Abdul Latif Jameel was travelling with his son on a motorcycle along the Al-Qasha road when a Houthi sniper fired a single shot that struck him in the head, killing him at the scene.

The fatal shooting followed another sniper attack a day earlier in the same district, when Fawziyah Hassan Ahmed was wounded while tending livestock in Al-Kabab village in the Al-Qahifah Al-Ulya area.

Residents of Maqbanah have continued to face sniper fire and shelling by the Houthi militia, with repeated attacks targeting populated areas and claiming civilian casualties.
