Aden Governor Discusses Improving Postal Services

Minister of State and Governor of Aden Governorate, Abdulrahman Sheikh, discussed on Tuesday with the Director General of the Aden Post Office, Amr Al-Awlaki, the current state of postal services and ways to improve their performance and develop services in line with citizens’ needs and the requirements of the current phase.

The meeting addressed the key challenges facing postal operations and reviewed proposed plans to modernize and expand services.

The governor emphasized the importance of revitalizing the role of postal services as a vital public facility, stressing the need to update operational mechanisms and expand postal and financial services to facilitate citizens’ transactions.

He also underscored the importance of coordination with relevant authorities to overcome existing difficulties and work toward rehabilitating post offices and enhancing their capabilities to ensure more efficient and widely accessible services across the districts of Aden.
