Minister of Public Health and Population, Dr. Qasem Buhaybeh, and Lahj Governor, Major General Ahmed Turki, conducted a joint inspection tour of several healthcare facilities in Lahij province to discuss sector development and improve services.
The tour included visits to Am Jassem Health Center, Dr. Amin Nasher Higher Institute of Health Sciences, central medical stores, and Ibn Khaldun General Hospital.
Minister Buhaybeh emphasized the need for strengthened partnership between the health ministry and local authorities to optimize resource utilization, while Governor Turki highlighted challenges faced by Lahj province due to war conditions, including influx of displaced persons and refugees.
Both officials stressed commitment to enhancing primary healthcare services and infrastructure in Lahj province.
