The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Afrah al-Zouba stated that the Yemeni state undertakes its constitutional and sovereign responsibility to protect its citizens, lands, coasts, ports and territorial waters, and that enabling its institutions to carry out this responsibility is a key element for the security of Bab al-Mandeb, the Red Sea and international navigation and trade.

Presidential Leadership Council Member Sultan al-Aradah called for heightened military readiness and stronger operational capabilities during a meeting with Defense Minister Lt. Gen. Taher al-Ogaili and Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Sagheer bin Aziz to review developments on the frontlines.

Al-Aradah described defending the republic as a decisive national battle, stressing the need to strengthen military preparedness, enhance coordination among state forces, and restore state institutions by ending the Houthi coup.

He also urged people in Houthi-controlled areas to reject the militia's recruitment campaigns and praised the Saudi-led Coalition for its continued support to Yemen.

The defense minister and chief of staff reaffirmed the armed forces' commitment to strengthening their capabilities and protecting the country from the Iran-backed Houthi militia.
