The Governor of Hadramout governorate Mabkhot bin Madhi discussed today, Sunday, with the American Ambassador to the Republic of Yemen Steven Fagin strengthening bilateral cooperation, efforts to support military and security institutions and coast guards to control smuggling and fight terrorism.
Bin Madhi spoke about the general situations in the governorate, citing the efforts of the Local Authority to maintain the unity of the fellow citizens, provide basic services and keep Hadramout safe and stable.
The governor underscored the importance of increasing the American support in the sectors of basic services and economy to alleviate the humanitarian crisis.
The American Ambassador congratulated the governor bin Madhi and the population of Hadramout on the ninth anniversary of liberating the coastline of the governorate from al-Qadea organization.
Mr. Fagin reaffirmed his administration's support for the Presidential Leadership Council headed by His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi.
The Ambassador praised the role of the Local Authority in enhancing transparency, fighting corruption and uniting the ranks to ensure the continuation of the basic services despite the economic challenges.
He described Hadramout as a pivotal region to achieve peace in Yemen.
