Al-Bahsani discusses ways to enhance bilateral cooperation with British Ambassador

Member of the Presidential Leadership Council Major General Faraj al-Bahsani discussed with the British Ambassador to Yemen Abdo Sharif on Monday ways to enhance and develop bilateral relations between the two friendly countries, as well as coordinating positions in international forums.

The two parties addressed the latest developments in the political, military, security, and economic situations in Yemen, in light of the ongoing Houthi escalation in the region, and the required international efforts to support the Presidential Leadership Council and the government in strengthening security and stability.

Al-Bahsani pointed out the efforts being made by the Presidential Leadership Council under the current circumstances, particularly regarding the economic file, where the council aims to implement comprehensive reforms to alleviate the living burdens on citizens due to the war ignited by the Houthi terrorist militia.

He emphasized the importance of mobilizing humanitarian and developmental support to assist the council in facing the economic crisis and achieving stability.

The member of the Presidential Leadership Council expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the efforts made by the United Kingdom as part of the P2+3 group to support the Presidential Leadership Council and the government, enabling them to implement their strategic plans to enhance the economic situation, restore security and stability, and confront the Houthi terrorist militia.

For her part, the British Ambassador renewed her country's readiness to continue providing support to the Presidential Leadership Council and the government in various issues.

She pointed out that the United Kingdom will remain an active partner in achieving stability and development, emphasizing her country’s commitment to enhancing joint cooperation and supporting international efforts to end the Yemeni crisis.
