The Yemeni-Russian ministerial committee held discussions today, Friday, in Moscow over joint cooperation in the areas of trade, industry and investment between the two friendly countries.
The meeting co-chaired by the Minister of Oil and Minerals Dr. Saeed al-Shamisi and the Russian Deputy Minister of Energy Mochalnikov Sergey.
The talks focused on aspects of the Yemeni-Russian joint cooperation and bilateral relations with aim of further increasing them in several promising fields.
Minister al-Shamis reiterated the call for Russian companies and businessmen to come to Yemen to establish their investment enterprises in different areas, especially in the oil and minerals sectors in the governorates of Hadramout, Shabwa, al-Mahra, Socotra and Marib.
The Russian Deputy Minister renewed his welcome to our country's invitation to Russian officials and companies to visit Yemen and explore investment opportunities, highlighting the importance of further promoting economic and trade relations between Russia and Yemen, noting that trade exchange reached $663 million over the previous ten years.
