MANAMA - SABA
The Minister of Information Culture and Tourism Muammar al-Eryani discussed Thursday with the Saudi Minister of Information Salman bin Youssef al-Dosari the mechanisms to enhance media work and ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation between the two brotherly countries.
During the meeting, which was held on the sidelines of the 34th regular session of the Council of Arab Information Ministers held in the Bahraini capital Manama, Minister al-Eryani expressed Yemen's appreciation for the sincere brotherly positions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia towards the Yemeni people and their just cause in restoring the state and achieving comprehensive, just and sustainable peace.
He pointed out to the depth of the historical relations between the two countries and the two brotherly peoples, and their continuous development under the wise leadership of His Excellency the President Dr. Rashad Mohammad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, and his brother the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and his Crown Prince, His Royal Highness Prince Muhammad bin Salman.
The two ministers discussed the conditions of the joint Arab media work and the importance of coordination between the concerned parties in all Arab countries to face the challenges witnessed in the region, in light of the continuation of the Zionist war machine against our Palestinian people in Gaza and the West Bank and the continued terrorist Houthi militia in targeting the waterways and threatening Arab national security.
The two ministers stressed the importance of the Arab League and its role as a starting point for achieving integration, joint work and unifying efforts on all common issues.
Minister al-Eryani expressed his deep appreciation for the unlimited support provided by the Saudi Ministry of Media during the years of war to the official media, which enabled it to regain its role in confronting the Houthi coup project that took control of the official media in the capital Sana'a and turned it into a single voice serving its project supported by Iran.
For his part, Minister al-Dosari reiterated the depth of the brotherly relations between the two countries and the two brotherly peoples, and his country's firm and supportive position for Yemen and its constitutional legitimacy.
He hoped achievement of comprehensive and lasting peace for the security, stability, development and prosperity of Yemen.
