Tariq Saleh : Customs services need to control smuggling, improve revenues

Member of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) Brigadier General Tariq Saleh stressed that customs authorities should play their role effectively in controlling smuggling businesses, improve public revenues and contribute toward enhancing national security.
He made his comment during his meeting today, Sunday, in the city of Mokha with Deputy Chairman of the Customs Authority Dr. Mohammed Dahni.
He said " It is very important for Customs' staff to be well-trained and qualified so that they can do their job professionally and effectively. They also need to keep on doubling efforts to help improving public proceeds and contributing to strengthening national security through countering smuggling weapons, drugs and goods".
