The Yemeni Ambassador to Egypt, Khaled Bahah, met with the Egyptian Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Arab Affairs Ambassador Ihab Fahmy to discuss bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to enhance them.
Ambassador Bahah highlighted the issue of Yemeni schools in Egypt that were closed, affecting over 6,000 students, and urged the Egyptian government to facilitate the reopening of these schools and simplify procedures for Yemeni students to enroll in Egyptian schools.
The two officials also discussed the importance of convening the Yemeni-Egyptian High Committee and the ninth round of strategic dialogue between the two countries, which is expected to take place in the third quarter of this year.
Ambassador Bahah briefed the Egyptian official on the latest developments in Yemen, expressing appreciation for Egypt's support for the Yemeni people and the government.
