Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Ahmed bin Mubarak stated that the government is committed to empower women and engage them effectively in the development drive and all walks of life.
" Yemeni government is keenly seeking to actively engage women politically, economically and socially, pays great attention to women education, particularly the poor and marginalized ones in the remote regions", he said.
Speaking at function organized by the National Woman Committee in cooperation with the UN's agencies in Yemen to celebrate the 8th of March, bin Mubarak highly praised the Yemeni woman's role and sacrifices to defend her country's causes.
He said " Special tributes go to mothers of martyrs, wounded servicemen, mothers of the detainees and prisoners in the jails of the terrorist Houthi militias".
The Prime Minister affirmed that the government is going to work hard to engage women in the sustainable development, development long-term strategies to build the government's institutional capacities that can help remove hurdles that continue to obstruct woman's active participation in the development drive.
