Chairman of the Shura Council Dr. Ahmed Obaid bin Daghr, accompanied by his deputy Dr. Abdullah Abu al-Ghaith, arrived in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, Thursday to participate in the proceedings of the eighth conference of the Arab Parliament and Speakers of Arab Councils and Parliaments, scheduled to be held next Saturday at the headquarters of the League of Arab States.

Ambassador Bahah discusses with Egyptian Health Minister enhancing cooperation

Yemen's Ambassador to Egypt Khaled Bahah discussed Sunday with Egyptian Minister of Health and Population Dr. Khaled Abdulghaffar cooperation between the two countries in health field and mechanisms of entering Yemenis to Egypt for treatment and for those who want to attend Egyptian fellowship programs.

Bahah touched upon situations of health sector in Yemen and destruction hit it over the war, confirming that Egypt has become the first destination for Yemenis who travel for treatment. He praised facilitations granted by brothers in Egypt to this group and to the injured of the National Army.

He confirmed significance of enhancing investment mechanisms in health and medicine sector via establishing health and medicinal establishments. He praised Egypt's big role in transferring its leading expertise in all fields to Yemen through training and exchanging experiences.

The two parties agreed on working on updating the health protocol singed in 2005 and improving it to meet current needs of curative scholarships and training field and attending Egyptian fellowship program.

For his part, the Egyptian health minister confirmed readiness to enhance cooperation between the two brotherly countries in medical and medicinal fields.

He expressed aspirations for continuous communications and coordination serving joint interests of the two countries.
