Minister of Technical Education and Vocational Training, Dr. Anwar al-Mahri discussed Wednesday with the Coordinator of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA), Zubeyir Yaka Yılmaz, and the Head of the Turkish Red Crescent Mission in Yemen, Ahmed Korkmaz ways of strengthening cooperation and partnership in support of the technical education and vocational training sector in Yemen.

Planning Minister highlights the need to double down efforts about SDG

Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Dr. Wa'id Badhib underscored the need to step-up efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and to promote awareness about the importance of concentrating the efforts to achieve a tangible progress in the upcoming stage, endorse projects and programs aiming to achieve the SDG.

His comment came as he chaired today, Thursday, a virtual meeting via video conference intended to discuss the action- plan of the technical team tasked with preparing the first national report on the SDG 2030.

The United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) contributed to the discussions.

Dr. Badhib noted that this report represents a turning point in terms of directing the government's efforts towards the prospects for development and prosperity and towards the SDG approved by world leaders and the countries committed in September 2015 to achieve.
