Member of the Presidential Leadership Council Dr. Abdullah al-Alimi conferred today, Thursday, with the U.S. Ambassador to the Republic of Yemen Steven Fagin over bilateral relations, regional and international efforts to mitigate the humanitarian suffering, revive the political process in Yemen.

He stated that the Presidential Leadership Council and the government are very keen on realizing fair peace, end the war imposed by Houthi militias.

He stressed that it is very important to establish a comprehensive and durable peace based on the three terms of the peace references.

" We want peace which eliminates the coup, restores the State's institutions and not only a temporary truce the Houthis leader exploits to prepare for new wars", said al-Alimi.

The member of the Presidential Leadership Council commended the significant American significant role in fighting terrorism, monitoring water passageways which helps to reduce smugglings activities and Iranian military equipment and weapons to the Houthi militias.

The American Ambassador confirmed his country's keenness to keep on doing the efforts to establish peace in Yemen.
