Minister of Information, Muammar Al-Eryani confirmed the arrival of the first batch of the Yemeni community in Sudan, consisting of (200) to the Saudi city of Jeddah, as a first step before transferring them to the interim capital, Aden, as part of the evacuation process that the government is implementing in implementation of the directives of President Dr. Rashad. Al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, and under the auspices of the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Eryani said in a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), that, and in implementation of the directives of the President and the Prime Minister, an ad hoc panel has been formed to supervise the evacuation process, and a work team has been assigned at the Embassy of the Republic of Yemen to Sudan to follow up and facilitate the evacuation of Yemeni citizens, which team exercises its duties in the capital Khartoum and the city of Port Sudan, and the Yemeni consulate in Jeddah, and directives were issued to grant passage permits to return to Yemen exceptionally, for those whose passports have expired.
Eryani thanked those in charge of the Yemeni Student Union in Sudan, for their efforts within the government team assigned to accomplish the task, and their communication with Yemeni students present in various regions of Sudan to coordinate the evacuation process.
