Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Dr. Waed Badeeb, discussed with the Director of the German Friedrich Ebert Foundation today, in the temporary capital Aden, aspects of support in the areas of peace, human rights and social welfare.

During the meeting, which included the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Planning for the Projects Sector, Engineer Wazir Al-Shurmani, the Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Planning for the International Cooperation Sector Mansour Zaid, the Director General of the Non-Governmental Organizations Department at the Ministry, Zuhair Hamid, they discussed the latest developments in the general, political and economic conditions. And peace efforts, the armistice file and the government’s commitment to implementing its provisions, and the necessity of the other party’s commitment to the contents of the armistice to mitigate the impact of war and achieve peace, in addition to the priorities of the Ministry of Planning in projects in the aspects of development, social justice and gender.

Minister Badeb stressed the importance of the projects and programs of the German Foundation, and its contributions to enhancing social awareness among the community on various issues related to the humanitarian and human rights fields, peacebuilding and achieving the desired development.
