Yemen's ambassador to Britain, Dr. Yassin Saeed Noman, discussed with the head of the Arab department at the British Foreign Office, Abda Sharif, ways to strengthen and develop relations between the two friendly countries.

The meeting touched on discussing the food security crisis that Yemen will face as a result of the war in Ukraine, and the support Britain can play to solve the problem.

In the meeting, Ambassador Noman reviewed the latest political developments in Yemen, including the re-operation of Sanaa airport and the insistence of the Houthi coup militia to continue imposing a siege on the city of Taiz, the militia's obligation under the truce.

In turn, Mrs. Abda stressed the British government's support for the recent political developments and reforms in Yemen, pointing to the importance of continuing the truce and lifting the siege on the city of Taiz, while implementing more steps that would enhance the path towards peace.
