Yemen FM tells British ambassador Houthis violated truce from the first night

Riyadh – Saba
Yemen's Foreign Minister, Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak, met today with the British Ambassador to Yemen, Richard Oppenheim, and discussed with him developments in Yemen in light of the truce announced by the UN Special Envoy saying the militia have begun to breach the truce from the time it entered into effect - yesterday evening.
The Minister noted that the government approved of the truce proposal with aim of securing a way to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people, but the Houthi militia does not seem to pay any attention as evidenced by its breaches including the continued aggression against Marib governorate.
He said the Houthi militia are attacking the governorate with various types of heavy weapons, ballistic missiles and drones.
Bin Mubarak explained that the resumption of flights to and from Sanaa Airport would help alleviate the suffering of Yemenis in the areas under the control of the militia.. He held the militia responsible for closing the airport over the past years as a result of its use for military purposes and rejecting all proposals to restart it.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs indicated that the government granting additional facilities for the arrival of oil derivatives ships to the port of Hodeidah is not a new matter, and it has previously granted licenses to enter 12 oil ships to the port of Hodeidah during the past few months.
He said the Houthis have based their interests on newly established black markets for fuel to maximize profits at the expense of the suffering of the Yemeni people living in the militia's areas of control.
