Prime Minister Dr. Ma'een Abdulmalik presided over an extraordinary session of the Council of Ministers today in the temporary capital Aden, devoted to discuss the government's plans and efforts to handle economic challenges, improve living conditions, basic services and security situations.

The Cabinet recalled the serious terrorist crime carried out by Iran-backed Houthi militia by shelling Aden international airport with ballistic missiles upon the arrival of the Prime Minister and the cabinet members on December 30 last year.

The Cabinet renewed its call for the International Security Council to reveal the outcomes of the investigations into the terrorist attack carried out by the international team and take necessary measures to hold the Houthi militia accountable for its crime.

The Prime Minister reported about the upshots of his state-visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) and his talks with Saudi officials, GCC Secretary General and Ambassadors of the five permanent member state of the International Security Council.

He stated that the Saudi leadership in the (KSA) and the GCC promised a substantial support to bail out the national economy, empower the government and address the Yemeni peoples' concerns and needs all over the country.

The Cabinet expressed appreciation for the KSA's and GCC's significant support for the Yemeni people at this critical stage.

The Council of Ministers has endorsed several measures aimed to support the national currency exchange rate and prevent draining out hard currency, reduce the total amount of the imports bill of unnecessary commodities.

The Cabinet has approved a draft bill presented by the two Ministries of Industry & Trade and Finance about regulating the entry and import of the autos and equipment. The bill is designed to regulate the entry and import second-hands cars.

The decree stipulated 5 year plus one year of the manufacturing for the second-had cars entry into the country and 7 year plus one year of the manufacturing for the second-hand equipment entry and import.
