Foreign Minister Mohammed al-Hadrami met on Monday with the Ambassador of Portugal to the Republic of Yemen Lewis Alameda.
Bilateral ties between Yemen and Portugal and UN-led efforts to make peace in Yemen were key focus of the conversations.
The Safer Oil Tanker problem was also touched upon. Al-Hadrami blamed Houthi militia for using Safer tanker as a negotiating card, denying the UN technical team access to the tanker to assess its state, unload oil and get rid of.
The Portuguese diplomat affirmed his country's support for the Yemeni government and peaceful solution in Yemen through the UN.
