The Military Court in Marib-headed by Judge Aqil Taj Addin, the Chairman of the Military Court at the Third Military Region- commenced Tuesday its first hearing of the major criminal case No.4 for 2020.

Houthi Leader Abdulmalik al-Houthi and other 174 defendants are accused of a number accusations led by a coup against the constitutional legality of the Republic of Yemen under President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi, the Supreme Commander of the Military Forces.

During the sitting, the court listened to indictment made by the First Lawyer of Military Prosecutions General Abdullah al-Hadheri.

The military prosecution made many accusations against defendants included perpetrating with others of organizing terrorist system " Ansurallah" headed by the firs defendant and under the sponsorship of the second defendant and military leaders from Hezbollah and Iranian Revolutionary Guard on the basis of the divine right of ruling and plans of exporting Iranian Revolution to Yemen.

The main tool of realizing the objectives of this terrorist system is the military force and violence.

The indictment also included accusations of carrying out a coup against the republican system of the Republic of Yemen and its authorities by the force of weapon and violence, making the president of the republic and the government under house arrest and trying to kill the president.

The defendants also are accused of making illegal relations with a foreign country, Iran for affecting the war, political, diplomatic and economic status of the Republic of Yemen.

The prosecution demanded the toughest punishments against defendants on the bases of Islamic Law and relevant law texts.
