Minister of Public Health and Population Nasser Ba'om launched Saturday the annual meeting's activities of the UNICEF for 2019.
The meeting was organized by Health Care Sector with financing from UNICEF.

The two-day meeting discusses implemented programs in provinces and evaluating them for defining negative and positive areas in addition to making plans and programs to these domains financed by the organization for 2020.

Ba'om confirmed necessity of coming out with unique plans in different financial, administrative and technical fields aiming at improving health sector and promoting and avoiding faults. He stressed necessity of commitment to providing programs to initial health care and activating reward and punishment principles and boosting partnership with the private sector.

He praised the UNICEF's role, calling for increasing its intervention in Sa'ada and Hajja provinces and support vaccination programs in them, pointing out that Yemen has ridding of children polio in 2006.

For his part, Director of UNICEF's Office in Aden Charles Nozoky showed readiness of the organization to provide support to programs and health plans in Yemen, praising coordination between the organization and health ministry.
