Yemen's Ministry of Defense has condemned the Emirati airstrikes that "killed and injured 300 Yemeni government soldiers" battling with separatist militias in Aden and Abyan provinces south of Yemen.
In a statement issued this evening, the Defense Ministry said the UAE warplanes have conducted 10 airstrikes since Wednesday evening.
The Ministry said the UAE is "fully responsible for this blatant aggression in violation of the international law and the mission it came [to Yemen] for."
The Ministry confirmed the government's demand that the UAE "should stop all forms of financial and military support to unauthorized military groups."
The Ministry vowed "to continue to purge armed militias from the country and extend the control of the internationally recognized government over all the soil of the country."
The Ministry called on the brotherly Saudi Arabia, as a leader of the Arab Coalition, to seriously stand by the side of the government and stop this unjustified and illegal Emirati escalation.
